Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Inside Sales Representative, you generate and grow UPS shipping revenue from a defined portfolio of small to mid-sized business accounts through structured daily outreach — conducting telephone and video shipping consultations, presenting UPS service solutions, and closing new service agreements entirely through remote communication channels without field travel.

• Structured Daily Outreach: Execute a daily outreach cadence of 60 to 80 outbound calls and 20 to 30 email touchpoints to assigned prospecting and account maintenance lists — working through the UPS CRM system (Salesforce) to log every interaction, record next-step commitments, and maintain a pipeline of active opportunities at each stage of the sales funnel with documented close probability estimates.
• Remote Shipping Consultation: Conduct 15 to 30 minute telephone and video shipping profile consultations with prospects and existing accounts — gathering current carrier spend data, transit time requirements, package volume history, and service pain points — then presenting a UPS solution comparison that quantifies the cost and service improvement the prospect achieves by shifting volume to UPS.
• Account Onboarding & Activation: Manage the post-close onboarding process for newly acquired accounts — facilitating UPS account number setup, coordinating pickup schedule activation, and conducting a 30-day post-launch check-in call to confirm the account is actively shipping and resolve any early-stage service questions before they create churn risk.
